How do I know this is a fake profile?
1. Picture is of a female model
Fake profiles often use a photo of a female model to bait unsuspecting men and women into accepting friend requests. The pictures are usually found on Google. I used Google Search By Image, and found 300+ results for this image:
2. Small number of friends
Having less than 100 friends on Facebook is unusual for anyone who is actively using it
3. Stock Photos
Stock Photos typically have white backgrounds. Here, is a child on a white background playing with a toy, which is certainly a stock photo:
4. The name is spelled unusually
No one can really say a name is spelled “wrong”. But, I would say that normally Alex Johnson is not spelled as…
